The basement of a residential and office building in Prague was systematically waterproofed as part of a renovation project. First, KÖSTER Polysil TG 500 was applied to strengthen the masonry and reduce capillary rising moisture.
Subsequently, KÖSTER WP Mortar was used to seal defects and areas exposed to water ingress, creating a waterproof base. This was followed by a full-surface waterproofing layer using KÖSTER NB 1 grey, providing reliable protection against penetrating moisture.
KÖSTER Restoration Plaster Key was then applied as a bonding layer for the subsequent plaster system. KÖSTER Pestoration Plaster white/light was installed, ensuring long-term drying through its vapor-permeable and salt-regulating properties, while also improving the indoor climate.
After the renovation, the basement is used as a gym.
